GIVE Week is more than a fundraiser for our Galileo programs. Every year, we forge partnerships with local charities to extend our support to the broader community. This year, we’ve dedicated four days of GIVE Week to support different charities, aligning our efforts to meet their unique needs. Our chosen beneficiaries this year include: Women & Children’s Alliance, Idaho Food Bank, Book it Forward, and Star Outreach. On Friday, we’ve collaborated with a nearby store to offer freshly baked cookies for sale. This presents a wonderful chance to buy cookies for a friend, teacher, student, or neighbor, brightening their day while also supporting a local business. Additionally, 50% of the proceeds from these sales will be donated back to benefit Galileo.

How can you make a donation? Donation boxes will be located outside each teacher’s classroom for your convenience. Our volunteers will collect contributions each morning and ensure they reach their intended charities promptly. Please don’t fret if a donation arrives on a later day. Our volunteers will make a final delivery to the charities on Friday, coinciding with the distribution of cookies to classrooms. 

At Galileo, our parents are known for their remarkable generosity. Feel free to contribute to as many charities as you wish. We simply hope that each family can make a donation to at least one of our partner charities. 

Craving a delightful treat as a well-deserved reward for your generous donations? Fortunately, we’ve teamed up with Smitten Sweets, a wonderful local bakery, to make your wish come true. For the fantastic price of just $5, you can order a two-pack of mouthwatering chocolate chip cookies that will be sent home with your student on Friday. What makes it even sweeter is that 50% of the proceeds will be contributed to the PTO. It’s a win-win for all!
