Students learn to code an autonomous robot using C coding language. Students use C coding language to program motors and servos, and they strategically design and build robots.&nbsp; As the students develop and progress in their coding skills, they begin creating libraries as well as writing variables and functions to complete coding challenges. The team runs September through April as they prepare for a Regional Botball Event with other Idaho schools held in April. Students that excel have an opportunity to continue to practice through mid-July and travel to participate in the Global Conference for Educational Robotics and Botball competition held every July out of state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WHO:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>4th and 5th grade students only. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WHEN:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tuesday<\/strong> AFTER school from 4-5:30 pm in the elementary engineering classroom beginning on September 15th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">COST:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>$150 \/ per participant **<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">ORGANIZERS:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"Leonard.Katie@westada.org\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"Leonard.Katie@westada.org\">Mrs. Leonard<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Junior Robotics Botball Team is available to 4th and 5th grade&nbsp;students.
