{"id":162,"date":"2023-08-27T21:03:04","date_gmt":"2023-08-27T21:03:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/galileopto.com\/?page_id=162"},"modified":"2025-09-04T16:37:22","modified_gmt":"2025-09-04T22:37:22","slug":"amateur-radio-club","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/galileopto.com\/index.php\/amateur-radio-club\/","title":{"rendered":"Amateur Radio Club"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In the Galileo Amateur Radio Club, students prepare to test for amateur radio licenses and learn about amateur radio, including: circuit boards, radio frequencies, radio waves, antennas, Ohm\u2019s Law, FCC guidelines for talking on a radio, codes and ciphers, the radio alphabet, and Morse code.&nbsp; Students do not compete, but they have fun with Fox Hunts (finding a hidden beacon with a handheld radio)!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">WHO:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>4th &#8211; 8th grade students only.
